What could possibly be a better way to review 2019 than a countdown of the list of the 5 best celebrity weddings of the year.
SPOILER ALERT: I am a sucker for all things wedding.
Weddings AND celebrity pop culture, that is. (Well, and Ben & Jerry’s “Half baked” ice cream. But that’s beside the point.)
In the past decade, we have seen TONS of celebrity weddings:
- The royal weddings of Prince William & Duchess Kate and Prince Harry & Meghan Markle.
- Extravagant weddings like the 2-ceremony-shindig of Nick Jonas & Priyanka Chopra. I mean, did you SEE that 75-foot long veil with her Ralph Lauren dress???
- And weddings that have already been divorced again. We’re looking at you here, Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie...
- And then there were some of my personal favorites like John Krasinski aka “Jim” & Emily Blunt and Chrissy Teigen & John Legend.

Really, there were too many celebrity weddings to fit into this post, so I will limit my countdown to the past year.
Now, without further ado, let’s roll out the red carpet for our newlywed celebs.
5) Sadie Robertson and Christian Huff
Anyone here who remembers that song “Manic Monday” by The Bangles?
Well, since they chose Monday, November 25, 2019, as their wedding day, it’s probably Sadie and Christian’s new favorite day of the week.
Kicking off our list of the 5 best celebrity weddings of 2019, the stunning couple wed on the family farm in Louisiana with 600+ of their “closest” friends and family.
(TBH, I’m not sure that I could get 600 people to show up for an event if I was handing out free money LOL)
And their “romantic garden” wedding vibe matched their elegant yet chill personalities.
4) Lauren Hashian and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
A Hawaiian family affair.
While it’s most couples’ dream honeymoon vacation, The Rock and his long-time girlfriend, Lauren, just went ahead and had their entire wedding ceremony in Hawaii.
Just look at their beautiful smiles in the picture and you know that it was worth the 12-year wait to tie the knot!
3) Camilla Luddington and Matthew Alan
Paging Dr. Karev to the aisle, I repeat..
Oh, wrong script. Sorry!
Camilla and Matthew, who have a daughter together, got married at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara Hotel in Santa Barbara, California.
Their wedding style combined “romantic elegance with natural elements and an abundance of white and green floral” for a “classic and fresh” look, says their wedding planner, Karen Waldron of Ampersand Entertainment.
Fun Fact: They chose a close friend to officiate their wedding. He saw their relationship grow through the years, which made for a very intimate ceremony.
2) Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas
Talk about out of the box!!
I guess if you’re the Queen of the North you get to do things your way.
Sophia and Joe’s wedding was a total surprise and definitely not like anything we’re used to seeing from major celebrities.
After the Jonas Brothers performed at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, the couple headed over to A Little White Wedding Chapel and were married by an Elvis impersonator.
They definitely take the win for the most fun and off-the-beaten-path wedding of 2019.
But not to worry my traditionalists, they redid the whole thing at a castle in France the way a proper celeb would.
1) Marc Jacobs and Charly “Char” Defrancesco
Love Is Love.
That’s really enough reason for Marc Jacobs & Char to make it to the top of the list of the 5 best celebrity weddings of 2019.
But wait, there’s more!
On their wedding day, the two beauties wore matching penguin pins made from diamond and onyx.
The pins were a gift from Fabio Zambernardi, designer for Prada and Miu Miu.
Okay, so what, right?
Well, in case you didn’t know penguins pick a single life partner. “A great example of faithfulness and fidelity.” as Jacobs calls it on his Instagram tribute to Char.
Swoon. *heart eyes*
Honorable Mention: Hailey Baldwin & Justin Bieber
Now, technically these two lovebirds already got married in September 2018 in a small courthouse ceremony in New York.
But we felt their luxurious Lowcountry wedding at Montage Palmetto Bluff deserved to be mentioned.
After the ceremony at dreamy Somerset Chapel, the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour and danced all through the night.
This wedding literally sparkled with tons of stars in attendance (from Kendall & Kylie Jenner to Jaden Smith and Dan Smyers of Dan+Shay) and the customized Moët & Chandon Imperial Brut bottles, which were made with 9,682 Swarovski crystals. #cha-ching
I think I have reminded us enough of how sufficiently poor we are…
