As the weather cools down and couples prepare for their fall i-do’s, lots of things remain and will become popular. Here’s a list of Fall wedding trends to help inspire your autumn nuptials!
- Cool Greys
People are pairing this neutral color with soft purples, blues and even orange. Because the color is so universal and lends itself to many different venues and themes, it is often a go-to for fall weddings to help round out a color palette.
A good idea for couples planning their big day: make a color board, laying out swatches to make it easier to come to a consensus about certain aspects of the decor.
- Fall Decor
Incorporating widely accepted fall staples in your wedding can help set a certain tone. Pumpkins, leaves and plants like mums and hydrangeas can instantly transform any space into the perfect fall wedding. Perennials are usually easy to acquire and something most fall weddings are never without.
Wheat stalks and feathers are great in bouquets and tea lit log centerpieces are also great. They’re different and will fit right in at a rustic barn wedding.
- Comfort Food
Apple pie, cinnamon, nutmeg, spices. My favorite part of autumn is all the great, warm food and any wedding that has any of these things is a perfect wedding. Instead of cake, serve pie and have a s’mores bar where guests can assemble their own melty treats.
- Flannel and Denim
For the more relaxed fall wedding, a flannel shirt or cardigan over a wedding gown for the bride and jeans and boots for groomsmen may be just the thing. Everyone will be warm on cooler days and fit right in with the autumn decor. If you’re worried about pictures, you can always take the cardigans off.
