Kendall’s mom and cousin hosted her bridal shower at her family’s lake house in South Salem, NY. The house is tucked back in the woods, and the roads leading to the neighborhood are curvy and confusing.

For the guests who had never been to the house the reminder WedTexts message with the address that turned into a clickable link, which opened their Google Maps, was a life saver! Receiving that message at 11am the morning of the bridal shower meant they didn’t need to find the beautiful paper invitation they received in the mail weeks before.

The week following the bridal shower, Kendall and Matthias had to book the buses, called Trolleys, for the guests to get to and from the rehearsal dinner and wedding.

After hearing horror stories of guests showing up late to weddings, Kendall wasn’t taking any chances! Once the bus schedule was agreed upon, she went ahead and scheduled 2 WedTexts text messages to be sent to her wedding guests.

MESSAGE 1 – sent at 10:30am on their wedding day –

“Today is the day! Thank you so much for your love and support. Buses will pick guests up from the hotels at 4p, 4:30pm and 5pm. Ceremony begins at 5:40!! – Love Kendall & Matthias.”

MESSAGE 2 – sent at 4:30pm on the wedding day –

“FYI – the last bus will be leaving the hotel in 30 minutes. Can’t wait to see you! – Love Kendall & Matthias”

Do you remember the great cake battle of Month 5?

Going back to the bakery to choose the wedding cake was a quiet ride. Matthias, still in love with his strawberry cheesecake, was not willing to concede to Kendall, who was in love with the more traditional wedding cake.

The baker had samples prepared to give the couple for their second taste testing. The second taste solidified what they both previously thought. However this time, they didn’t have the luxury of time. They had to make a decision.

Like most things in wedding planning goes, things tend to swing in the bride’s favor. They made another “compromise”. They agreed on cup cakes with both flavors (more cupcakes would be made with the traditional cake of course!).
