Some may argue what’s the most important aspect of the wedding: the venue, the decorations, the groom…But for a lot of brides her dress ranks pretty high. There’s a reason there are reality shows dedicated to the task. The right dress can take an already spectacular moment to the next level. But how do you find the right one? There are three things to keep in mind when shopping for your dream wedding dress.
No bride wants to spend however many hours stuck in a dress that makes her feel uncomfortable. It’s important to have a properly fitting gown that allows adequate movement for when it’s time to bust out those dance moves at the reception. Or, like many brides, having a separate dress for the ceremony and the party may be a better option.
Personality and Attitude
We’ve all seen what a wedding dress looks like. Ball gowns, empire waists, bell skirts, fit and flare. With so many to choose from, it’s easy to get lost in the hype. Your dress should be a reflection of your inner self. Short and sassy or big and billowy, whatever your style, it should complement you.
Wear the Dress you Love
It happens all too often, a bride falls in love with a dress and none of her friends like it so she passes on it and is full of regret. These are the people you love – and sometimes the people paying for the dress – so you want them to love your gown as much as you do but remember, you have to wear it, not them.
Happy dress hunting!
